Post Draft
Well folks, Year 11 of HardCorps has begun and another draft is in the books. For me, there were some surprises in the Yahoo Draft Grades. If you'll remember the Yahoo draft grades were surprisingly predictive last year with everyone that got an A making it into the playoffs. We only had three A grades this year. Lance, Jason, and Drew. And Drew was probably just auto pick again!!! Jason said we shoud just call the season now. Yahoo said he was gonna win, so mote it be. For the Divisions, I grouped the top 4 finishers from last year in Odin, the next 4 in Thor, and the final 4 in Freya (I will do this every year from here out). You would think the post draft ranking predictions would have Odin ranked highest since it was the top four finishers last year, but with an average rank of 7.5. they were only 0.25 points away from being the worst division (Freya with an average ranking of 7.75). Looks like Thor is top god this year. The average post draft rank for that division is 4.25 with two of the top four teams. As for projected points per division, which I calculate every year, Odin is last by a good stretch. Looks like I'm going to have to prove Yahoo wrong!!! Thor: 7047.42

Some other notables from Yahoo's predictions. Missy despite a power ranking of 4 is predicted to finish 2 spots behind at 7 with a 7-7 record. I am predicted to finish 9-5 (5th) despite being the bottom half of power rankings. Steve is looking at another rough year of scoring lots of points but not having a record to match it. He is 5th in power ranking but projected for an 8th place finish at 6-8.
Half the league finished with a grade of C or worse. And my dad came in with the first F I can remember seeing. He said he had a couple misclicks and, given his dexterity, I believe it. Sorry pops.
Now, mind you friends and family, this is just Yahoo's AI looking at how they THINK the year will end. It has no idea that the Jayden Daniels to scary Terry stack is going to go nuclear. Or that Jonathan Brooks if FINALLY going to get to showcase that 1st round draft talent because he will not get hurt this year. Nor does Yahoo know Dezhaun Stribling is going to be the only SF WR to not succumb the SF injury machine. I hate to say it folks, but I'm feeling pretty good about a repeat. Something that has only been done once in this league.
