The championship round

The championship week opened on Christmas day where I was gifted with a 22.5 point performance from the very disappointing Jacory Croskey Merrit. Fortunately, he chose this week to have one of his few good performances. R.J. Harvey added another 16.1 in a win at KC. This put me up 38.6 - 7 after Detroit put 7 on the board for Geoff on Christmas. The following Saturday Geoff was off duty while I had Christian Watson put up a decent 19.8 showing...all while being questionable up until game-time. That brings us to the Sunday early slate. Geoff's entire roster finished in this window and I knew this was the onslaught I needed to survive, there would be no waiting or suspense to see the outcome of this year's championship. It all came down to these games. I only had three players in this slot: Parker Washington (a last minute add due to my…

Playoff recap so far

Well folks after an EPIC semi final round the championship matchup is set. The two top place finishers for the regular season will now meet up in the Championship matchup. Let's see how we got there.

In the quarter finals Geoff and I sat out with byes.

4th vs 5th

Lance v Travis. Lance had strong performances from Amon Ra St. Brown and Bijan Robinson, but the rest of the team was lackluster and only notched him a total of 113. On the other side Travis had a trio of 20 point performers and another trio of double digit performers in the teens. When you get an all around performance like that, you're bound to put up a win, and he secured it with 127 points.

3rd vs 6th

This match had Steve going up against the last man in, Larry. While Steve got a solid performance out of Jared…

i may add that the purdy/cmac combo devasted me. while nic was in mourning all day monday i was gleefully wondering on how to spend my soon to be new found winnings. but alas it was not to be. purdy/cmac hooked up with 7:42 left in the game for a devasting 6.9 pts for cmac and an equally devasting 5.3 pts for purdy. so in just one play nic gained 12.2 pts on me to take the lead! damn damn damn. i was so happy monday that lance (beserkers) even told me to not count you chickens before they hatch. i just brushed it off and said "there is no way he is going to get 60pts on monday night with just purdy and cmac playing. So i went to bed and didnt watch the game and dreamt of Christmas cheer, happy as can be. Then Tuesday morning came and I was in shock. Somehow, my winnings had disappeared. I looked around for that damn Grinch.
